Internal Association of Chigasaki (IAC) started supporting a Nepali school and its students in deep mountains with Mr. Kazumasa Kakimi (Mr. OK Baji) a social worker based in Nepal.

As the project get underway we decided to hold an event “Interactive Session with a Social Worker Based in Nepal” at Chigasaki Civic Hall inviting Mr. Kakimi the social worker hero as the lecturer, on the occasion of his return to Japan.

Mr. Kakimi used to be an English teacher but he quit and started supporting people in Palpa District in Nepal in 1993. He is called Mr. OK Baji and loved by locals.

Ms. Keiko Nagata, the chairperson of an NPO “Sanchai Nepal Nepalpa” based in Chigasaki, has been supporting Mr. Kakimi for a long time. She is also an IAC member and that is why IAC decided to support them as well.
