On Sunday, December 18, the annual year end party was held for the first time in three years in a face-to-face meeting at the “Umikaze Terrace” near the Chigasaki Coast.

The event began at 2:00 p.m., with Event leader Ms. Chinda as the moderator. After the opening speech by Mr. Matsumura, the president of IAC, the main events of the year and Ukraine support events were introduced. Then, K-POP dance by international students and their host families was performed, and students of Japanese language classes introduced their countries with video clips, performances, and songs.

At 3:00 p.m., after a short break, the place was expanded and, first, members introduced the North Macedonia Exchange Group and the North Macedonia Folk Dance Dance, followed by a large number of participants happily dancing in a large circle.

A rock-paper-scissors tournament followed, with the winners receiving prizes until all the prizes were gone.
At the end of the event, after an introduction of the Bon dance that is popular in Chigasaki’s sister city, Hawaii City and County, the participants formed a large circle and danced the Bon dance to the “Hawaii Ondo”. Never before had so many participants joined the dance.
