The 36th Fureai Festival was held at the Chigasaki Central Park on November 3, 2019 (the Culture Day).  This year again, IAC set up a bazaar booth in the festival as per every year past.
When we started setting up our bazaar booth at 8 o’clock in the morning, it was cloudy and a little chilly, but it warmed up during the day.

IAC members contributed more clothes and goods to the bazaar than usual years.  Some shoppers started coming to the booth to check out what’s there before it opened.  After the festival started at 10 o’clock, so many people came to our booth that the staff was very busy attending on those customers.

We put our publications such as FRIENDPIA, Chigasaki Breeze and IAC brochures to allow people to pick up freely.  In front of the booth, the staff was also standing for introducing IAC’s activities to the shoppers showing those publications.
Behind the booth, we put tables and chairs on a tarp, where the staff had breaks.  Other IAC members who stopped by the booth also had seats there and enjoyed talking to each other.
Our booth was located near the stage in the inmost corner of the park as it was last year.  On the stage, the opening ceremony of the festival was held at 10 o’clock.  The Chair of the executive committee for the festival and Mayor of Chigasaki Sato gave greetings to begin the festival.  After that, full of shows and dances of various teams and groups were performed on the stage throughout the festival until it closed at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.  It was so lively and bustling.

The Autumnal Agricultural Festival was also held at the same time at the entrance of the park.  There was a lot of citizens came to that festival, too.

As for IAC’s bazaar booth, this year’s sales surpassed last year’s sales.
